How does the introductory price work?

Personal and Growing Company plans are discounted for your first 6 months, and Small Team for your first 12 months. After that, your plan simply renews at the standard price shown on each card. There is no tie-in and you can cancel any time from your billing portal before a renewal.

Do I keep my website and current host?

Yes. Your website and hosting stay exactly where they are. Only the MX and TXT records for email change, so your site keeps running untouched.

Can I add mailboxes later?

Yes. Every plan includes a generous allowance of mailboxes (5 on Personal, 25 on Standard and 10 big 50GB mailboxes on Business). You can create them at any time from your management console at no extra cost, and simply upgrade your plan if you outgrow it.

Where is my mail stored?

All mail is stored on UK servers with nightly encrypted backups, so your data stays in the UK and protected.

I already have email on this domain — what happens to it?

When you point your MX record to us, new mail for the domain starts arriving in your new StrataByte mailboxes. Existing messages on your old provider are not moved automatically, and your old mailboxes stop receiving new mail once the change takes effect. Set up the mailboxes you need first, and keep your old account open until you have everything you want from it.

What do I need before I start?

Just your own domain and the ability to edit its DNS records — usually at the registrar where you bought the domain (for example 123-reg, GoDaddy or Ionos). If someone else manages your DNS (a web designer, say), you can forward them the four records our wizard gives you. No technical knowledge is needed beyond copy and paste.

Is there a fair use policy?

Yes. Normal business use is always fine. Full details are in our Acceptable Use Policy.
